Jacob Avidan manages Magma’s Digital Sign-Off Business Unit, responsible for Magma’s Tekton timing analysis; Tekton-QCP Extraction; and Quartz DRC and Quartz LVS physical verification products. He joined Magma in 2005 after co-founding AmmoCore Technology where he served as vice president of Technology. Prior to that Avidan held R&D and CAD management positions with Synopsys, EPIC and Intel Corporation. Avidan was the author of PathMill, a widely used transistor-level timing analysis product. Avidan currently holds 8 patents. He has published 6 papers in the area of timing verification and 3 papers in graph theory. Avidan received a bachelor’s and master’s degrees of science in electrical engineering from Technion in Israel, graduating both Cum Laude.
